About Us

Liquidnitro Games is India’s flagship live services and game production company, founded by industry veterans with a proven track record in producing massively successful games and live services. We offer world-class game development expertise to power creativity, growth, and profitability in games for companies, studios, and publishers worldwide.

What’s in it?

As a Senior UI Artist, you will own the visual quality of the player-facing interface across our mobile games. Partnering with the Art Director and Senior UX Deisgner, you will set and uphold the UI visual language, lead UI art for key features and live-service events, and mentor other UI artists. This is a hands-on role: alongside setting direction, you will personally design and produce a significant share of the UI art yourself. You will work closely with Game Designers, Engineers, and 2D Artists to turn UX flows into polished, production-ready interfaces that ship seamlessly in Unity, while making sure the UI pipeline stays fast and scalable.

Responsibilities

· Stay hands-on: personally design, produce, and polish UI screens, icons, and assets every sprint, not just review and direct others.

· Lead UI art for major features, game modes, and live-service events - menus, HUDs, buttons, icons, panels, pop-ups, and typography - from concept to shipped.

· Translate wireframes, user flows, and UX specifications into polished, production-ready UI, and push back with better solutions where the design can be improved.

· Own and evolve the visual language, brand identity, and style consistency across all game screens and live-service content.

· Set the standard for clarity, readability, and accessibility across devices and resolutions, with strong command of visual hierarchy.

· Define and enforce asset preparation standards - slicing, 9-slicing, layers, naming, and optimization - for efficient Unity implementation.

· Partner with technical artists and engineers to integrate UI in-engine, resolve implementation issues, and ensure the final result matches the design.

· Build and maintain UI style guides, component libraries, and visual documentation as the single source of truth for the team.

· Mentor mid-level and junior UI artists, review their work, and give clear, actionable feedback.

· Estimate UI art scope, plan tasks with production, and deliver on schedule for live-service cadences.

Requirements

· 10+ years of professional experience as a UI Artist, GUI Artist, or similar role in game development, with at least 2 shipped mobile titles where you owned major UI areas.

· Outstanding portfolio showing game UI design, iconography, typography, and layout for mobile, including complete screens and systems you led.

· Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and UI prototyping/wireframing tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD).

· Solid understanding of user experience (UX) principles, user flow, and player interaction within mobile gaming.

· Strong understanding of preparing and optimizing 2D UI assets for game engines, particularly Unity.

· Proven ability to define a UI visual style, not just match one, and keep it consistent at scale across a live game.

· Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring artists and bridging art and technical implementation.

· Proactive, self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced live-service environment.

Bonus

· Experience working on casual, mid-core, social, or live-service mobile titles.

· Hands-on experience with Unity UI (UGUI), prefabs, layout groups, and animation timelines.

· Experience creating UI animations, transitions, and particle effects that enhance game feel and player feedback.

· Experience with motion graphics and UI animation using tools like Adobe After Effects.

· Familiarity with AI-assisted ideation used responsibly to accelerate exploration while maintaining strong artistic ownership and quality.
