Summary

Perry Street Europe (PSE) is hiring a Senior UI/UX Designer to support its affiliate and client partners develop their portfolio of mobile apps focused on the Gay, Bi, Trans and Queer community.
In your work, you’ll collaborate with product managers and engineers to solve user problems with design, test concepts, contribute to and advance our design systems and new features, and deliver polished, engineering-ready UI.
Requirements
Design — craft clear, strategic, and visually exceptional interfaces and in-app creative that elevate the brand.
Research — plan lightweight user tests, gather insights, and apply findings to ongoing projects.
Align Across Teams — host design reviews and workshops to align stakeholders and generate ideas. You know how to run a good meeting!
Humility — continually improve and be open to honest critical design feedback, both internally and externally.
Negotiate — collaborate with engineers to balance design quality with technical feasibility.
Independence — PSE is a remote, global, distributed company. Teammates that excel here are naturally independent and able to work collaboratively over Google Meet but also deliver consistently without a high degree of oversight
5+ years in product design, UI/UX, or visual design, including 2–3 years in consumer-facing native mobile apps.
Demonstrable portfolio of work that highlights past projects where you collaborated with Product Management to: design user flows, test concepts, refine UI/UX, and deliver a polished design work product for software or mobile apps. Proficient in Figma, including component libraries and motion prototypes.
Demonstrated ability to define a visual style and guide other designers or contractors in executing it consistently.
Experience contributing to or evolving a design system across multiple products.
Strong understanding of composition, typography, and storytelling for in-app surfaces and campaigns.
Organized, self-directed, and skilled at driving clarity across product, marketing, and engineering.
Experience with agile teams and iterative delivery.
- Familiarity with After Effects, Lottie, Rive, or motion design tools for lightweight motion assets.
- Enthusiasm for or experience in one or more of the communities that your designs will be serving
