Senior UI/UX Designer

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to join our digital product team on a six-month contract. The successful candidate will act as an extension of our design team, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to design intuitive, scalable, and user-centred digital experiences.

This role is ideal for a strategic designer who combines strong UX research and interaction design skills with systems thinking, enabling them to solve complex business challenges while balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end UX/UI design process across multiple digital products.

• Create user journeys, personas, customer journey maps, user flows, information architecture, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity user interface designs.

• Translate complex business requirements and ambiguous problem statements into user-centred design solutions.

• Apply systems thinking to understand business processes, system dependencies, integration points, and data flows that influence the user experience.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, QA teams, and stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.

• Facilitate design workshops, stakeholder interviews, ideation sessions, and design reviews.

• Develop and maintain scalable design systems, UI components, and design standards.

• Conduct usability testing and incorporate research insights into iterative design improvements.

• Ensure designs comply with accessibility standards and UX best practices.

• Present design concepts, rationale, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

• Support Agile product delivery through close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a UI/UX Designer, Product Designer, or Digital Experience Designer.

• Proven experience designing enterprise, retail, or customer-facing digital products.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX and UI design projects.

• Advanced proficiency in Figma.

• Experience creating wireframes, mock-ups, interactive prototypes, and design systems.

• Strong understanding of:

  • Responsive Design

  • Accessibility (WCAG)

• Experience working within Agile and Scrum environments.

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience

• Enterprise application design.

• Retail or eCommerce experience.

• Experience designing complex workflows and business applications.

• Knowledge of design systems and component libraries.

• Familiarity with usability testing methodologies.

• Exposure to front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (advantageous but not essential).
