About the job
We are looking for an experienced Senior UX/UI Designer to join our Process Simulation & Analytics team on a full-time paternity cover. If you are passionate about turning user insights into intuitive digital experiences that are desirable, technically feasible, and business valuable, we'd love to hear from you.
In this role, you will drive the end-to-end product design process for a portfolio of digital products that support managers, process supporters, and operators in aseptic manufacturing. You will translate user research and business needs into intuitive, implementable designs, collaborate closely with product managers and developers, and shape solutions that reduce downtime, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen collaboration across manufacturing sites.
Our team develops a modular analytics platform comprising a suite of complementary products that solve real shop-floor challenges. These include a statistical process monitoring solution for wash and sterilization, a cross-site inspection performance dashboard, and a tablet-based shop-floor assistant that coordinates complex, time-critical tasks across teams and shifts. Together, these products help enforce task dependencies, optimize staffing, and improve operational performance.
The Position
As a Senior UX/UI Designer you will be accountable for UX research, product design and UI design:
Lead end-to-end design: user research, ideation, prototyping, and visual & interaction design using our Design System.
Discover and validate high-value problems, mapping processes and defining features.
Translate user insights into scoped product concepts, feature sets, and clear developer requirements.
Deliver high-fidelity visual and interaction designs in Figma that are production-ready and consistent with our Design System, including component specifications, states, and accessibility considerations.
Create clear developer handoffs (annotated screens, acceptance criteria, and interaction specs) so engineers can implement UI behavior reliably across tablet and web interfaces.
Run field research and workshops with operators, skilled workers, technicians, process engineers, and managers to capture real needs and validate solutions.
Map user flows and process interdependencies so solutions respect upstream/downstream constraints.
Design analytics and dashboard experiences.
Work closely with product managers, software engineers, chemical/mechanical/process engineers, and data engineers in cross-functional teams.
Communicate clearly and adapt your style to different audiences — from shop-floor operators to senior leadership — making trade-offs and reasoning visible.
Advocate for user-centered decisions using data, prototypes, and clear recommendations.
Iterate quickly and incorporate constructive feedback to drive adoption.
Qualifications
Requirements:
6+ years of hands-on experience in UX/UI, product design, and user research, delivering digital products.
Expert proficiency in Figma, including interaction design, high-fidelity prototyping, component libraries, and developer handoff.
Proven track record planning and conducting user research with operational or industrial users, including field interviews, contextual inquiry, and usability testing.
Solid understanding of user-centered design methods, including personas, journey mapping, usability testing, and data-informed design decisions.
Experience facilitating workshops and mapping complex processes with cross-functional stakeholders.
Excellent stakeholder management and written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain design decisions and build alignment across product managers, engineers, operators, and business stakeholders.
Fluent in spoken and written English, with confidence communicating and facilitating workshops in remote, international environments. Danish is an advantage but not required.
Experience working closely with software engineers to translate designs into implemented products.
Comfortable working in a feedback culture and able to accept, give, and iterate on constructive critique.
Nice to have:
Experience in industrial/manufacturing environments or regulated industries (pharma, medical devices, GMP).
Experience with design systems, component libraries, and developer handoff tools (Storybook, design tokens, Figma libraries).
Experience working in agile/scrum and using AzureDevops.
Prior experience designing for tablet/shop floor interfaces.
