Senior Windows Systems Engineer
Role Overview
Support and maintain various platforms and services, with a focus on Windows systems and automation. Lead technical projects and teams, and mentor others. Work with stakeholders and clients to deliver solutions.
What You Will Do
Day-to-day support and maintenance of Windows platforms and services, lifecycle management, configuration management, systems and process automation, technical leadership, project delivery, mentoring, and stakeholder interaction.
Why It Might Be a Fit
5+ years of experience in Windows systems/platform engineering, with leadership and project management experience. Strong technical skills in Windows Server environments, PowerShell, Ansible, virtualization, and infrastructure tooling.
Requirements
- 5+ years in Windows systems/platform engineering
- Configuration and maintenance of Windows Server environments
- Patching and lifecycle management of Windows and accompanying services
- Domain services: Active Directory (ADFS a plus)
- PowerShell scripting, plus at least one other programming language (Python preferred)
- Using Ansible to manage systems and processes
- Virtualisation fundamentals — solid in at least one of VMware / KVM / OpenStack
- Maintenance of infrastructure tooling hosted on Windows systems
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation
- IAM/SSO with Entra ID; LDAP
