Summary
Designs user-centred digital services for government, applying GDS principles and Agile workflows to create intuitive, accessible experiences.
Salary: £37,000 - 68,500 per year
Requirements:- Experience as a Service Designer or in a similar design-focused role
- Strong track record of delivering user-centred design solutions across digital services
- Experience working with Government Digital Service (GDS) principles
- Ability to advocate for user-centred design and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Experience working with design systems, service blueprints, and journey mapping
- Confidence working within Agile environments and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to use evidence and insight to inform decisions and validate design hypotheses
- Shape end-to-end service experiences that meet both user and business needs
- Work directly with stakeholders to define service journeys, identify pain points, and design improvements
- Communicate confidently with multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders
- Lead collaborative workshops to align teams and drive service innovation
- Create service blueprints, journey maps, and design artefacts to solve complex problems
- Use research, insight, and data to iterate designs and improve service outcomes
