Service Program Manager
Summary
Service Program Manager at a contract manufacturer in La Vergne, TN: owns major OEM customer accounts and programs, handling quoting, orders, gross margins and on-time delivery while coordinating customer service, engineering and manufacturing. Works with MRP/SAP systems and MS Office; ~5 years' experience and a bachelor's degree required.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Position requires management and implementation of major customer accounts and programs. Maintain high customer satisfaction levels through heavy customer interaction and constant drive for maximum sales volume and customer market share. Increasing sales and maximizing on-time delivery are the cornerstones of this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage select customer accounts and programs for the maximization of sales to those accounts
- Develop and manage customer specific programs for the smooth introduction of new services for the maximization of customer satisfaction
- Accountable for the quoting, order generation, gross profit margins, account planning/positioning and relationships for a pre-defined customer account list
- Work proactively to anticipate and resolve project issues (internal and external) and escalate when appropriate
- Identify methods for improving the new product introduction process and drive implementation of these improvements
- Cross functional interaction with customer service, engineering and manufacturing to achieve customer satisfaction
- Conduct regular business reviews with customer
- Maintain/complete regular sales reports to management
- Experience in contract manufacturing sales to OEM customers with a thorough knowledge of business practices, procedures and processes
- Excellent Presentation and Communication skills (verbal and written)
- High level of professionalism, dependability, energy and motivation. Also needs to be a team player that works well with others
- Ability to assess and resolve situational problems in a timely manner
- Ability to manage multiple issues at one time
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy
- Travel as required
- Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with MRP systems

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years of related business experience,
- Bachelors Degree in a technical/business field required
- Masters degree in Business a plus but not required
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Operations and/or customer interface experience preferred.
- A good understanding of SAP or comparable operating system preferred
- Good communication skills at all levels; written, oral & presentation skills
- Ability to speak Mandarin Chinese a plus
- Experience working with other cultures preferred
- Conduct other duties as requested
