Service Project Management Manager

Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a driven and experienced Service Project Management Manager to lead our Project Management Office (PMO) and take ownership of project portfolio delivery across our service division.

We are seeking a leader who can step into a fast-moving, dynamic environment, hit the ground running, and actively evolve our PMO practices to drive greater innovation, efficiency, and customer outcomes.

You will lead a mixed team of Project Managers and Project Engineers, acting as their coach, escalation point, and champion — while staying closely connected to project execution, financial performance, and customer satisfaction.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Lead & develop a high-performing team of Project Managers and Project Engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous improvement.

• Own the project portfolio — conducting regular reviews, managing escalations, and ensuring on-time, on-budget, and quality project delivery.

• Evolve the PMO — challenge existing processes, implement lessons learned, and introduce innovative practices aligned with industry best standards.

• Drive financial performance by meeting targets across revenue, margin, utilisation, and client satisfaction.

• Act as a strategic partner to internal stakeholders — participating in bids, resource planning, and pipeline forecasting.

• Champion health, safety, and integrity across all project operations, ensuring full compliance with ABB directives.

• Engage directly with customers to resolve issues, identify improvement opportunities, and maintain strong long-term relationships.

• Oversee contract and claim management, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and ABB policies.

Qualifications for the role

• 5+ years' experience delivering complex service and technical projects.

• Leadership experience managing and mentoring Project Managers and Project Engineers.

• PMO optimisation expertise with a track record of improving frameworks and delivery performance.

• Strong commercial acumen across budgeting, forecasting, contracts, and claims management.

• Excellent stakeholder management with strong customer and executive engagement skills.

• Industry and technical knowledge in fast-paced environments, including electrification, automation, PM methodologies, and digital project tools.
