Service Technician (Electrical & EV Systems)

Summary

Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems and EV components in commercial vehicles and lifting equipment, using diagnostic tools and following safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in commercial vehicles and lifting equipment.
  • Repair wiring, switches, sensors, relays, lights and other electrical parts.
  • Test electrical circuits using diagnostic equipment.
  • Replace faulty electrical components.
  • Inspect and maintain electric vehicle batteries, charging systems and electric drivetrains.
  • Perform EV inspections and software updates according to manufacturer procedures.
  • Carry out repairs in the workshop and attend customer sites when required.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and complete service reports.
  • Follow workshop and high-voltage safety procedures.
  • Keep the work area clean and take proper care of tools and equipment.

Requirements

  • ITE, NITEC, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Automotive, Mechatronics or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in automotive electrical repair.
  • Experience with commercial vehicle electrical systems is preferred.
  • EV repair experience or high-voltage certification is an advantage.
  • Able to use electrical and vehicle diagnostic equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of CAN Bus systems is an advantage.
  • Possess a valid Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence; Class 4 is an advantage.
  • Willing to travel to customer sites and provide breakdown support when assigned.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 8.00am to 5.00pm
  • Saturday: 8.00am to 12.00pm
  • One-hour lunch break
