Service Technician/ Engineer
Summary
Service Technician/Engineer maintains and repairs ship navigation, communication, and safety systems like RADAR, ECDIS, and GMDSS, often coordinating with shipyards and business partners.
We are looking for a dedicated Service Technician/ Engineer to be responsible for repair and maintenance of ship Navigation, Communication, Satcom, VSAT/TVRO, PAGA/PABX and GMDSS system. Reporting to the technical manager, and working closely with our business partners, he/she will be involved in the installation and testing if navigation and communications equipment on shipping vessels.
Responsibilities
• Involve in project for installation of marine electronics equipment.
• Liaise/co-ordinate with shipyard for related project.
• Assist in the repair works in the workshop.
• Brief business partners on various navigational/communication system setup.
• Provide technical support for business partners.
• Prepare reports on equipment to business partners.
• Any other ad hoc tasks related to business needs.
Requirements
• Diploma / Degree in Electronics/ Electrical / Communications Engineering
• 1- 4 years of Marine Experience
• Experience in Navigational Systems eg RADAR, ECDIS, GPS, DDU, GYRO will be preferred
