SERVICE TECHNICIAN
TNTX SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Purpose of Position: Under the supervision of the Shop Foreman, the Service Technician is responsible for performing maintenance on trucks from class 5 through class 8 vehicles and recreational vehicles per OEM and company guidelines.
Supervises: N/A
Essential Job Functions:
Diagnoses and repairs various truck systems.
Ensures that repairs are completed in a complete and accurate manner as per supervisor instructions.
Maintains correct time punches and work order processes.
Maintains efficiency standards and attendance policy required.
Tags all parts required to follow warranty procedure.
Keeps customer vehicle clean during repair process and after repairs are complete.
Keeps work area clean and free of debris.
Follows safety procedures.
Required Skills/ Abilities:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Preferred Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Technical training education
Preferred Experience:
One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Preferred Qualifications:
CDL License
ASE certification a plus
Freightliner certification
