Position Summary

Dhaka Technologies Limited Company (DTLC) is hiring a ServiceNow Architect on behalf of the District of Columbia Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO). The ServiceNow Architect will apply deep knowledge of the ServiceNow platform to architect solutions that meet the IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), and change management needs of IT projects across the District. This role leads the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions, working closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions that follow ServiceNow best practices. The ideal candidate brings extensive enterprise architecture experience, hands-on expertise across core ServiceNow modules, and the ability to provide high-level architectural guidance to managers and technical staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Architecture: Design end-to-end ServiceNow solutions that align with business objectives and requirements, including the technical architecture, data model, integrations, and workflows that support business processes.
  
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensure adherence to best practices, standards, and methodologies, and mentor team members on ServiceNow platform capabilities and implementation strategies.
  
• Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and design documents.
  
• Platform Development: Develop and configure the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript, GlideScript, HTML, and CSS to meet specific business needs, including workflows, forms, UI policies, and service catalog items.
  
• Integration: Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using REST APIs, SOAP, MID Servers, and other integration techniques while ensuring data integrity and security.
  
• Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve ServiceNow performance and scalability, implement performance tuning measures, and monitor system performance to ensure optimal operation.
  
• Governance and Compliance: Ensure ServiceNow implementations adhere to governance, compliance, and security standards, and implement security controls, access restrictions, and audit mechanisms as needed.
  
• Documentation and Training: Create technical documentation including design documents, architecture diagrams, and configuration guides, and provide training and knowledge transfer to team members and end users.
  
• Enterprise Architecture Advisory: Provide high-level architectural expertise to managers and technical staff, and develop architectural products and deliverables for enterprise and operational business lines.
  
• Technology Strategy: Develop the system strategy and IT systems roadmap, and design the infrastructure necessary to support that strategy.
  
• Technology Selection: Advise on the selection of technology purchases related to processing, data storage, data access, and applications development.
  
• Database Standards: Set standards for the organization's client/server relational database structure, including Structured Query Language (SQL), Oracle, and Sybase.
  
• Feasibility Assessment: Evaluate and advise management on the feasibility of potential future projects.
  

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience (20+ years)
  
• 9+ years of experience in IT systems roadmap development
  
• 9+ years of experience as an Enterprise Architect
  
• 9+ years of experience with system diagramming and modeling using structured modeling languages such as UML
  
• 6+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITOM, ITFM, HRSD, PPM, and SPM
  
• 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST, SOAP, and other integration protocols
  
• 5+ years of proven experience architecting and implementing complex ServiceNow solutions in enterprise environments
  
• 5+ years of strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, including core modules and components
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  

Highly Desired Certifications

• ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification
  
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification
  

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Work Requirements
