ServiceNow Developer
Summary
Develop, configure, and optimize ServiceNow applications (ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, HAM/SAM) and automate workflows via REST APIs for the Vaillant Group’s central platform.

- In this role, you actively shape the further development and stable operation of the central ServiceNow platform of the Vaillant Group.
- You develop, configure, and optimize ServiceNow applications and processes with a clear focus on developer activities.
- You work with modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CMDB as well as Hardware and Software Asset Management (HAM/SAM).
- In addition, you design and implement automations, workflows, and business logic to sustainably reduce manual effort.
- You realize integrations with connected systems (e.g. infrastructure, monitoring, or asset systems) using REST APIs and web services.
- You support the continuous development and quality assurance of the CMDB, including data models, relationships, and governance.
- You closely collaborate with international IT teams, architects, and business departments to translate technical requirements into robust solutions.
- You support platform upgrades, releases, and continuous improvements of the ServiceNow environment.

- Qualification: You have successfully completed vocational training or a degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable qualification.
- Experience: You bring several years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer or ServiceNow Specialist.
- Expertise and skills: Strong knowledge in at least one of the following areas: ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, HAM, or SAM; Solid experience in ServiceNow development using JavaScript (e.g. Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Flow Designer); Experience with REST APIs, integrations, and automation solutions.
- IT understanding: You have a good understanding of ITIL processes and IT service management concepts.
- Way of working: You work independently, in a structured and solution‑oriented manner, and feel comfortable in agile and international teams.
- Personality: You combine analytical thinking with a hands‑on mentality, are team‑oriented, and show a high level of initiative.
- Languages: You speak very good English; knowledge of German is an advantage.
