Job Title: Sheetmetal Worker

SUMMARY:

Fabricates, installs, and repairs sheet metal products like HVAC ductwork, roofing, and siding. Job involves reading blueprints, measuring and cutting metal, shaping it with tools, and joining it using welding, riveting, or soldering. Installing metal sheets, maneuvering large parts, and maintaining a safe work environment by following safety protocols. Work under the supervision of the Field Superintendent.

Tasks and Capabilities Required:

• Read blueprints and specifications to cut, bend, and shape sheet metal into the required components.
• Join pieces of sheet metal using welding, bolting, riveting, or soldering to create finished products like ductwork, roofing, and siding.
• Install the fabricated sheet metal products, such as HVAC ducts, metal roofs, and gutters, on construction sites.
• Accurately measure, mark, and lay out sheet metal according to blueprints and templates.
• Inspect and repair existing sheet metal products and installations to ensure they meet quality standards and are free of defects.
• Maneuver and anchor large or heavy sheet metal parts safely at the job site.
• Must be able to clear all requirements to enter US-Base.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as fabricating machines like shears, brakes, and punches.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials.
• Precision is crucial for accurate measurements and proper installation.
• Strong ability to calculate measurements and angles.
• Must follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with tools and heavy materials.
• High school diploma or Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and vocational training is an advantage.
