Job Title: Duct Installer
SUMMARY:
Fabricating, assembling, and installing ductwork for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems by reading blueprints, shaping sheet metal, and securing ducts. Ensuring proper sealing, insulation for system efficiency, and coordinating with other trades. Work under the supervision of the Field Superintendent.
Tasks and Capabilities Required:
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand duct system layouts and specifications.
- Cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using hand and power tools to fabricate duct sections according to the design.
- Assemble ductwork components using fasteners, install hangers and supports, and connect all sections, ensuring proper alignment and pitch.
- Seal all duct joints with mastic or tape to prevent air leaks, which is crucial for system efficiency.
- Inspect installed duct systems for quality, proper airflow, and adherence to codes, making any necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure seamless integration of the HVAC system.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations on the job site.
- Must be able to clear all requirements to enter US-Base.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics diagram.
- Practical skills with sheet metal fabrication tools and techniques.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in confined spaces.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes and standards.
- High school diploma or Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and vocational training is an advantage.
