Irving Tissue is sourcing candidates for a full-time Shipper. Reporting to the Logistics Coordinator, a Shipper is responsible for performing all duties related to the accurate and timely shipment of finished products.

  • Perform all shipping functions related to customer/outside storage loads leaving the Distribution Centre.
  • Lead forklift team with daily operations plan on a 12-hour, rotating day and night shifts.
  • Complete and verify accuracy of customs documentation for international loads.
  • Handle daily communication with Production, Customer Service departments, Midland Transport and various other carriers involved in the movement of loads.
  • Create bills of lading and interface with One World system on all ship confirm orders.
  • Coordinate off-loading of inbound loads.
  • Other related areas/projects as assigned.

• Completion of a college diploma or related business experience.
• Previous experience working in a warehousing environment would be considered an asset.
• Strong communication skills both written and spoken
• Strong computer skills, specifically shipping software
• Experience in logistics, dealing with various freight/courier partners
• Good organizational and planning skills
• Operates with utmost professionalism and confidentiality
• High degree of attention to detail, precision and follow through
• Effective interpersonal skills, especially between work teams
• Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts
