Shop Technician
Summary
Maintains and repairs rental equipment, manages inventory, and handles shipping/receiving in a warehouse and fleet setting.
- Preparing, Shipping, and Receiving functions for product and rental orders.
- Report to Shop Supervisor / Branch Manager for direction and support with daily tasks and projects.
- Keep track and manage the van/truck fleet used in product delivery and ensure preventive maintenance is performed on those vehicles.
- Cleanliness of warehouse, shop, and yard
- Perform other duties as required.
- Inventory rental equipment
- Clean, inspect, and make repairs to rental equipment as needed.
- Ensure rental equipment is cleaned and repaired when returned from rentals.
- Repair customer and company rental equipment as required.
- Perform calibration procedures on portable and fixed gas monitors.
- Prepares all invoicing documentation for customer and company.
- Maintain certification of repair for major vendors' equipment.
- Maintain all rental equipment in good, workable condition.
- Maintain rental logs or other documentation as required to track the status of equipment in queue for repair.
- Maintain compressors, logs ensure breathing air is checked and recorded for quality as per policy.
- Pump/refill cylinders, and other breathing bottles
- Perform delivery/pickup as needed.
- Perform general maintenance/cks on field equipment, including SCBA's, 5Min, Regs, Hose.
- Perform Fit Tests, Resp Training, Supplied Air Training and PFT and Audiometric tests
- Perform repairs on safety equipment as designated by Tech Certs and Rental/Repair Mgr.
