Part-Time Driver – Preble County

Miami Valley Community Action Partnership (MVCAP) is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Part-Time Driver to provide transportation services for clients throughout Preble County and surrounding service areas.

This is a PART-TIME, VARIABLE-HOUR position. Hours are based on client transportation needs and are not guaranteed on a daily or weekly basis. Candidates must have flexibility and be available to work when scheduled.

What You'll Do

• Safely transport clients along assigned routes and follow designated schedules.
• Follow assigned routes and stops as directed by the Dispatcher.
• Inspect and maintain the cleanliness of assigned agency vehicles.
• Report vehicle concerns, maintenance needs, or incidents promptly.
• Follow defensive driving practices and all applicable traffic and safety requirements.
• Assist with maintaining passenger safety and order while transporting clients.
• Safely secure children in car and booster seats when required.
• Complete required daily transportation paperwork accurately and timely.
• Provide professional, respectful, and courteous service to clients.
• Attend required meetings and training.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 25 years of age.
• Valid Ohio Driver's License or Ohio Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement.
• Must be insurable under the Agency's insurance policy.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable driving throughout multiple counties.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and client transportation needs.
• Ability to assist with wheelchairs and meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Ability to successfully complete required background, motor vehicle record, and drug/alcohol screenings.

Three years of accident-free driving experience is preferred.

Important Scheduling Information

This is a part-time position with variable hours. There is no guaranteed number of hours per day or week. Work schedules are prepared based on client transportation needs, and employees must be available for their assigned scheduled routes.
