An engineer to build, optimise and run enterprise security monitoring platforms day to day — centred on Cortex XSIAM/SIEM-SOAR — including onboarding log sources, automating security workflows and ensuring data quality and platform health. Core tech: Cortex XSIAM/XDR, SIEM platforms (Splunk, Sentinel, Elastic, QRadar) and Python/PowerShell scripting.

Our client is looking for an experienced SIEM Platform Engineer - Cyber Security to join their team and play a key role in the engineering, optimisation and operation of enterprise security monitoring platforms.Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support the Cortex XSIAM platform, including associated SIEM/SOAR capabilities, integrations and platform components.
- Lead the onboarding of new log sources and security telemetry, partnering with application and infrastructure teams to establish logging requirements and data collection standards.
- Design and implement automation for log onboarding and security workflows, reducing manual effort and improving scalability and operational efficiency.
- Ensure data quality and platform reliability by validating ingestion, enrichment, normalisation and correlation, while performing platform health monitoring, troubleshooting and optimisation.
- Drive continuous improvement and platform governance, working closely with SOC and Cyber Defence teams while supporting upgrades, lifecycle management, standards and technical documentation.
Skills & Experience Required
- Demonstrated experience in enterprise SIEM engineering and security operations.
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as Cortex XSIAM/XDR, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Elastic, QRadar, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of security monitoring, threat detection and cyber security operations.
- Hands-on experience with one or more enterprise SIEM/security platforms.
- Strong scripting or programming capability, particularly Python or PowerShell.
- Experience working within large enterprise or complex technology environments.
