Site Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Youth Development Director, the Afterschool Site Coordinator is responsible for the daily operation and overall success of the YMCA's afterschool program at an assigned site. This position provides leadership to program staff, maintains strong partnerships with school personnel and families, and ensures the delivery of safe, engaging, and high-quality youth development programming.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Model the YMCA's mission and core values in all interactions.
  • Oversee the daily operation of the assigned afterschool site, ensuring high-quality programming, participant safety, and compliance with YMCA policies and procedures.
  • Train, supervise, schedule, coach, and evaluate site staff and volunteers.
  • Maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios and ensure adequate staffing to support daily program operations.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate educational, recreational, and enrichment activities that support positive youth development and program outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary YMCA contact for school administrators, faculty, families, and community partners, fostering strong collaborative relationships.
  • Promote participant recruitment and enrollment while supporting outreach efforts to ensure program accessibility and sustainability.
  • Monitor program quality, participant engagement, and outcome measures, implementing improvements as needed to meet YMCA and funding requirements.
  • Collect, maintain, and submit required program documentation and outcome data, including attendance, academic indicators, assessments, incident reports, and other required records.
  • Assist with program budgeting, purchasing, and inventory management while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
  • Plan and facilitate family engagement activities, parent communication, and community events that strengthen relationships and connect families to YMCA programs and services.
  • Ensure facilities, equipment, and program spaces remain clean, organized, safe, and well maintained.
  • Support YMCA fundraising initiatives, special events, and other association-wide activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
