About the Role:

Foxleigh Mine is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Site Electrician to join our Maintenance Team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in responding to breakdowns, completing preventative maintenance routines, supporting high-voltage operations, and ensuring all work is carried out in line with site procedures, hazard controls, the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act, and relevant regulations.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Breakdown response and fault finding: Diagnose and repair faults on critical electrical assets and machinery to minimise downtime and maintain operational continuity.
  • Compliance and inspections: Conduct routine testing and tagging, inspect and maintain electrical distribution boards, and ensure electrical equipment complies with AS/NZS 3000, site standards and CMS&H requirements.
  • High-voltage operations: Perform high-voltage switching and isolations as required, in accordance with authorised procedures and site requirements.
  • Site services maintenance: Maintain, upgrade and install electrical infrastructure including power distribution, lighting, air conditioning and communication systems..
  • Safety and risk management: Complete pre-work hazard assessments, SLAMs and JSAs; follow lock-out/tag-out processes, SWIs and SOPs; and issue or complete permits as required.
  • Routine maintenance and reporting: Complete scheduled maintenance, open and close work orders, record test results, and enter maintenance data accurately into the CMMS.


What We’re Looking For:

To be successful in this role, you will bring strong electrical trade capability, a practical approach to fault finding, and a commitment to safe work practices in a mining environment.

  • Current Queensland Electrical Work Licence.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, single line diagrams and protection settings.
  • Experience maintaining and fault-finding electrical systems, preferably in mining, heavy industry or a similar operational environment.
  • Sound understanding of electrical compliance requirements, including AS/NZS 3000 and CMS&H obligations.
  • Strong safety mindset with experience applying hazard assessments, isolation procedures, permits, SWIs and SOPs.
  • High-voltage switching experience or authorisation will be highly regarded.
