Site Reliability Engineer, Cryptography, Access and Identity Services
Salary: £44,000 - 72,000 per year
Requirements:- Experience in site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration
- Experience working with Linux
- Experience in systems engineering
- Experience in any of the following: Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell or equivalent
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking protocols such as HTTP and DNS
- Experience designing and developing scripts to automate operational burdens and reviewing scripting changes to ensure they meet the standards for maintainability, scalability and security
- Experience working in a 24/7 production environment
- Experience with service-oriented architecture and web services
- Build and operate services for our customers
- Automate service operations and deployment methods
- Provide mentoring for junior team members
- Troubleshoot, innovate fixes and workarounds, and keep software up to date using Linux skills
- Provide data and metrics that help manage the capacity and efficiency of our services
- Identify and troubleshoot network connectivity issues using networking knowledge
- Develop, build, deploy, operate, sustain, and grow services in cloud production environments
- Use trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements
- Help develop and refine procedures used by our team and internal customers
- Dive deep into root cause analysis of customer issues and investigate negative metric trends
- Implement Operational Excellence best practices and automate manual processes to reduce out-of-hours support toil
