1. Business & Portfolio Management
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve SME lending, disbursement, and portfolio targets.
- Monitor portfolio growth, quality, collection performance, and identify opportunities to expand the SME customer base.
- Ensure sustainable portfolio growth while maintaining acceptable risk levels.
2. Team Management & Leadership
- Lead, coach, and motivate the SME team to achieve individual and unit targets.
- Set team objectives and KPIs, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback and coaching.
- Ensure effective workload distribution and support team development.
3. Credit & Risk Management
- Ensure financing applications comply with approved credit policies, procedures, and risk guidelines.
- Monitor portfolio quality, identify potential risks, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Credit, Risk, and Collection teams to address portfolio-related issues.
4. Operations & Stakeholder Management
- Ensure efficient execution of SME lending activities from sourcing to disbursement and monitor TAT.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of unit performance and portfolio status.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth operations and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in SME lending, microfinance, banking, or financial services.
- Previous experience in a managerial or team leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of SME lending and credit processes.
- Good understanding of credit risk and portfolio management.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Strong ability to manage targets and work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
