Software/AI Engineer
Summary
Builds and optimizes deep-learning computer-vision models for drones — object detection, tracking and scene understanding — making them small and fast enough to run in real time on embedded onboard hardware, then integrating them with hardware/software teams and joining field tests. Core tech: computer vision, deep learning, embedded deployment.
About the role
You will develop AI models that help drones understand their surroundings, detect and track objects, and run in real time on onboard hardware.
Key responsibilities
Train, evaluate and improve deep learning models for object detection, tracking and scene understanding
Develop vision algorithms that work reliably in real environments, including indoor, outdoor and low-light conditions
Make models smaller and faster so they can run in real time on embedded devices
Collect, label and manage datasets for training and testing
Work with the hardware and software teams to integrate AI into drone systems, and join field tests to evaluate real-world performance
Keep up with new AI and computer vision techniques, and test which ones work for our use cases
Document experiments, results and code clearly
About you
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or related fields
Strong programming skills
Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and writing efficient code
Comfortable writing and debugging code on your own. AI coding tools are welcome, but you should understand every line you ship
Good understanding of computer vision fundamentals, such as object detection, image processing and camera basics
At least one real project in AI or computer vision, such as a senior project, thesis, competition, internship or personal project, that you can show and explain
Fast learner who can figure things out independently and enjoys solving hard problems
