Software Developer

We are looking for a Software Developer to join our development team and support a diverse range of software development and systems integration projects.

The role will involve developing web applications, backend services, middleware solutions, databases, dashboards and data-processing functions, as well as integrating applications with external systems. Project assignments may vary depending on operational needs and ongoing project requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong software development fundamentals, practical problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and apply new technologies as required.

• Develop, enhance and maintain web-based and software applications
• Develop backend services, middleware and system integrations
• Develop and consume APIs for communication between applications and systems
• Work with relational databases, data processing functions and application reporting
• Investigate and resolve software defects, integration issues and system performance problems
• Support testing, deployment, user acceptance testing and technical documentation
• Work closely with project managers, developers, designers and external vendors
• Support both new system development and enhancements to existing applications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline
• At least 2 years of software development experience
• Working understanding of software development principles, application structure and the software development lifecycle
• Strong hands‑on experience in at least one of C# / .NET, Python, or JavaScript / TypeScript / Node.js
• Able to develop or modify a basic web application, backend service or software module
• Basic experience with frontend or web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript or a modern frontend framework
• Understanding of REST APIs, JSON and system-to-system integration
• Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL and basic data operations
• Able to take a feature from requirement through to deployment on your own
• Familiarity with source control and collaborative development tools such as Git
• Able to explain technical issues clearly and work effectively as part of a project team
• Effective use of AI coding tools as part of your normal workflow, with the judgement to know when to trust the output and when to verify it

• Willingness to learn unfamiliar technologies and take on different types of development work
• A responsible and positive attitude towards assigned tasks
• Attention to detail, particularly when working on system integration and operational projects
• Ability to take ownership of problems and follow through until they are resolved
• Ability to adapt when project requirements or priorities change
• Willingness to ask questions, seek clarification and improve continuously
