Summary

Builds the iCUE web front-end for gamers to customize peripherals, lighting, macros, and monitor performance using React, TypeScript, and Node.js.

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations

You will be at the heart of the iCUE web front-end experience — building the interfaces that allow users to customize their peripherals, create lighting profiles, configure macros, and monitor system performance. Your work will be seen and used by a passionate global community of gamers and hardware enthusiasts.

Responsibilities:
- Architect and develop modern, responsive web front-end applications for the iCUE platform using current web technologies and best practices.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wire frames and design specifications into interactive web interfaces.
- Partner with back-end and firmware engineers to define and consume APIs and data contracts that support device communication and configuration.
- Establish and enforce front-end coding standards, patterns, and best practices across the team.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and junior developers. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, cross-browser compatibility issues, and accessibility gaps.
- Mentor junior and mid-level front end engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills and Experience:

- 3+ years of professional front-end web development experience.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, modern JavaScript.
- Proficiency in experience with TypeScript in large-scale production applications.
- Deep hands-on experience with React, including hooks, context, and component lifecycle management.
- Solid understanding of component-based architecture and state management.
- Proficiency in Node.js for tooling, build pipelines, middleware, or lightweight back end services supporting the front end.
- Experience consuming and integrating WebSocket interfaces and/or REST API.
- Proven track record of writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code (Playwright, or similar).
- Familiarity with build tooling ecosystems (Vite) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques (lazy loading, code splitting, caching strategies).
- Experience with version control using Git and collaborative development workflows (branching strategies, pull requests).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have:
- Experience developing web UIs that interface with native desktop applications (Electron, Neutralino, WebSockets, or IPC bridges).
- Familiarity with hardware peripheral software, lighting ecosystems, or device configuration interfaces.
- Experience with real-time data rendering (e.g., live device status, RGB lighting previews, sensor dashboards).
