Software Developer - Internship

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Software Developer Intern to join our team in Penang. This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in back-end software development using C# and .NET. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of programming concepts, an interest in software development, and a willingness to learn about SQL and relational databases while working alongside our experienced development team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining back-end software applications using C# and .NET.

• Support the development team in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

• Assist with database-related tasks using SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.

• Learn and apply object-oriented programming principles and software development best practices.

• Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving software bugs and technical issues.

• Participate in code reviews and team discussions to improve coding skills and technical knowledge.

• Use version control tools such as Git to manage and track code changes.

• Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and deliver assigned tasks.

• Perform other software development-related duties as assigned.

About you

• Currently pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Basic knowledge of programming concepts, preferably in C# and .NET.

• Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases is an advantage.

• Familiarity with object-oriented programming principles is an advantage.

• Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and software development practices.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Able to work independently on assigned tasks while seeking guidance when needed.
