Summary
Develop and support Java-based banking applications using Spring Boot, Microservices, and Kafka, while providing L2/L3 production support and troubleshooting critical issues.
Role Scope: Responsible for providing L2/L3 production support, development, and maintenance of critical banking applications. The role involves troubleshooting complex issues, managing P1 incidents, monitoring application performance, and ensuring system stability. Develop and support Java-based applications using Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Hibernate, SQL, and Kafka.
Candidate Profile:
• Strong expertise in Java, debugging, SQL, and troubleshooting
• Experience in production support (L2/L3)
• Ability to manage critical banking applications and handle P1 incidents
Technical Skills:
• Java (Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices), Hibernate
• SQL (query writing, optimization, performance tuning)
• Kafka (understanding of messaging and transactions)
• Exception handling and API security (authentication and authorization)
Platform / Tools:
• Monitoring tools: Splunk, Kibana, log analysis
• DevOps: Jenkins, OpenShift/Kubernetes (basic to intermediate level)
• Database: MariaDB or other RDBMS
Functional Knowledge:
• Exposure to Core Banking systems
• Understanding of transaction processing and application criticality
• Basic understanding of interest calculations for Savings and Current Accounts
Additional Skills:
• Knowledge of ACID properties
• Understanding of vertical and horizontal scalability
• Ability to design, analyze, and debug distributed systems
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
