Maintain and troubleshoot Java-based banking applications, handling critical incidents and optimizing SQL queries for performance in a production environment.
Candidate Profile:
- Strong expertise in Java, debugging, SQL, and troubleshooting
- Experience in production support (L2/L3)
- Ability to manage critical banking applications and handle P1 incidents
Technical Skills:
- Java (Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices), Hibernate
- SQL (query writing, optimization, performance tuning)
- Kafka (understanding of messaging and transactions)
- Exception handling and API security (authentication and authorization)
Platform / Tools:
- Monitoring tools: Splunk, Kibana, log analysis
- DevOps: Jenkins, OpenShift/Kubernetes (basic to intermediate level)
- Database: MariaDB or other RDBMS
Functional Knowledge:
- Exposure to Core Banking systems
- Understanding of transaction processing and application criticality
- Basic understanding of interest calculations for Savings and Current Accounts
Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of ACID properties
- Understanding of vertical and horizontal scalability
- Ability to design, analyze, and debug distributed systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
