About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Software Developer specializing in Power BI and Microsoft SQL Server to support the development and optimization of enterprise-level software and business intelligence solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on technical expertise in Power BI, SQL Server, and data analytics with the ability to design end-to-end solutions, translate business requirements into technical specifications, and provide technical guidance to development teams.
This role requires a strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle, enterprise application architecture, and collaboration with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 4 years of professional experience in software development, including at least 2 years in a similar role.
- At least 2 years of experience in Power BI development or full-stack Power BI support, including custom solutions, dashboards, data models, and paginated reports.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), data modeling, and report development.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, including query optimization, database views, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Web Services, REST APIs, and HTTP APIs.
- Proven ability to optimize Power BI performance through SQL source optimization and query folding.
- Knowledge of advanced analytics tools and Power BI security mechanisms, including RLS and OLS.
- Experience designing and developing data layers, business logic layers, and user interface layers.
- Knowledge of UML and the ability to design and communicate application structures using UML diagrams.
- Experience working in Scrum-based development environments.
- Experience participating in at least one complete software solution lifecycle.
- Ability to document technical solutions clearly and effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to gather and analyze requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Experience collaborating with technical teams and presenting solutions to business stakeholders.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and demonstrate leadership within a development team.
Education and Certification Requirements
- A completed bachelor's degree or equivalent first-cycle higher education qualification, confirmed by a diploma. The degree does not need to be directly related to the position.
- At least one of the following:
- An intermediate-level certification in software development relevant to the technology domain.
- An internationally recognized equivalent certification, subject to acceptance by the Contracting Authority.
