Position: Software Developer ( 26-00495 )
Experience: 5-9 Years

Location: Bangalore

Contract :8 Month

What Were Looking For

*Strong working knowledge of Perforce, including changelists, workspaces/clients, depot structure, and core CLI commands such as `sync`, `describe`, `integrate`, and `shelve`. Day-one familiarity is expected.
*Strong working knowledge of Git and GitHub (or similar platforms), including protected branches, merge queues, required status checks, and GitHub Actions or equivalent CI/CD systems.
*Strong Python and/or Perl scripting skills, including automating command-line tools, parsing semi-structured output, and correctly managing subprocess environments and working directories.
*Experience building or maintaining unattended scheduled automation (cron or equivalent), including resumable/idempotent processing, concurrent-run protection, and clear failure handling for unexpected input.
*Strong Linux/Unix shell skills, including process and job control, environment variables, and file permissions.
*Ability to understand unfamiliar legacy automation scripts and migrate their underlying logic, not just translate their syntax.

Nice to Have
*Previous experience with Perforce-to-Git migrations, even if partial.
*Familiarity with hardware/semiconductor engineering workflows, including regression or compute farms, workspace/build tooling.
*Experience with Git LFS or similar large-file strategies.
*Familiarity with GitHub Enterprise or similar self-hosted platforms, including branch rulesets, service accounts/bot identities, and organization-level policies.
