We Lead the end-to-end development, deployment, and continuous enhancement of Toyota’s connected services ecosystem across European markets. Our work oversees the integration of vehicle connectivity platforms, mobile applications, and cloud-based services, ensuring scalability, security, and seamless user experience. We Collaborate with engineering, product, IT, legal, and external partners to accelerate service rollout and maintain operational excellence.
Role Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Software Development Team Lead to join the Toyota Digital Hub. You will lead a cross-functional development team responsible for delivering high-quality software products while driving technical excellence and team performance. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership skills, a delivery-driven mindset, and the ability to foster collaboration and continuous improvement
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning
Drive end-to-end software delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals, architecture standards, and quality expectations
Define and enforce best practices in software development, including coding standards, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps processes
Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
Oversee sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery tracking to ensure predictable and high-quality outcomes
Identify technical risks, manage dependencies, and remove blockers to keep development on track
Ensure system performance, scalability, and security through sound architectural and engineering practices
Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management of team members
Act as a key point of contact between technical teams and business stakeholders
Promote innovation and continuous improvement across processes, tools, and technologies
Qualifications & Skills:
What we require:
Strong technical background in software development (e.g., Java, or similar ecosystems)
Proven experience leading development teams in Agile environments
Solid understanding of system design, microservices architecture, APIs, and cloud platforms
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development tools
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach and motivate teams
Excellent communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to drive decision-making and resolve complex challenges
Experience in planning, delivery management, and cross-team coordination
Additional requirements (considered an advantage):
Experience in development of Connected Services for the automotive industry
