Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities Software Development Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise web applications using technologies such as Node.js, React.js, JavaScript, and Java. Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable application components following industry best practices. Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and software quality requirements. Database Design and Development Design, develop, and optimize database solutions using both NoSQL and relational database technologies. Work with databases such as MongoDB, IBM DB2, and Microsoft SQL Server. Develop efficient queries, indexes, and data models to support application performance and scalability. System Integration and API Development Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and integration interfaces with external systems. Troubleshoot and resolve interface-related issues involving upstream and downstream systems. Support end-to-end integration testing and deployment activities. Requirements Analysis and Documentation (For Senior Software Engineer) Conduct requirement gathering and clarification sessions with customers and stakeholders. Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented. UI/UX Design Produce screen mockups, wireframes, and user interface designs using tools such as Figma, PowerPoint, or equivalent design tools. Work with stakeholders to refine user experience and interface design requirements. Ensure user interfaces are intuitive, responsive, and aligned with business needs. Testing and Quality Assurance Perform functional testing covering both happy path and edge-case scenarios. Develop and execute test cases and track defects through resolution. Support user acceptance testing and verification activities. Production Support and Maintenance Provide support for live production systems, including incident investigation and troubleshooting. Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Implement bug fixes, system enhancements, and application patches. Support deployment, release management, and post-deployment verification activities. DevSecOps and Secure Software Delivery Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI/CD to support automated build, testing, and deployment processes. Integrate automated quality and security checks into the software delivery pipeline. Analyze and remediate findings from Static Application Security Testing (SAST) tools such as SonarQube. Support vulnerability assessment and remediation activities arising from Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) tools such as Fortify. Ensure applications comply with security, quality, and coding standards throughout the software development lifecycle. Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and project teams to support secure application deployment and operations. Required Skills and Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in software application development (for Senior Software Engineer). Proficient in: o Node.js o React.js o JavaScript o Java Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB. Experience with relational databases such as IBM DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server. Experience in API development and system integration. Experience in requirement gathering, business analysis, and documentation. Experience producing functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience performing root cause analysis and production issue resolution. Experience supporting mission-critical or 24x7 operational systems. Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
