Software Engineer - Backend
Summary
Senior backend engineer building high-performance Java and C# services for a global beverage company’s digital platform, focusing on Spring Boot, .NET Core, and MS SQL Server.
We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer for our Digital Technologies team located in İstanbul.
What We Expect:
- Implement business-critical features with a strong focus on performance, stability, and maintainability.
- Write clean, secure, testable, and scalable code while strictly adhering to high code quality standards and best practices.
- Contribute to technical discussions within the engineering team.
- Active participation in Code Review processes to enforce technical standards and maintain code quality across the team.
- Participate in release processes, CI/CD workflows, and deployment activities.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform loganalysis, and resolve performance bottlenecks effectively.
- Act with a proactive mindset and collaborate strongly within a fast-paced, scale-oriented, and results-driven engineering environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in designing, developing, and maintaining highly available, resilient, and scalable backend applications using Java and C#.
- Hands-on experience with Java (21 - 25), Git, and Maven.
- Deep understanding of the Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA/JDBC ecosystem.
- Solid experience with .NET Framework / .NET Core, ASP.NET Web API, and Entity Framework for the maintenance and evolution of existing services.
- In-depth knowledge of MS SQL Server database architecture; expertise in writing complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and performing query optimization.
- Solid experience in designing and implementing RESTful JSON APIs, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).
- Strong understanding of application-level security concepts and identity protocols (e.g., OAuth2, JWT).
- In-depth knowledge of software Design Patternsand the ability to apply them effectively in various architectural scenarios.
- Hands-on experience with application monitoring andobservability tools (e.g., Application Insights, Grafana, NewRelic, or equivalent APM solutions) for log analysis, distributed tracing, and performance diagnostics.
- (Preferred) Knowledge of Azure cloud services and active Azure CI/CD pipelines to support ongoing cloud migration initiatives.
- (Preferred) Understanding of messaging platform architectures (e.g.,Kafka, EMS, ActiveMQ, or IBM MQ).
- (Preferred) Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift).
- (Preferred) Experience in designing and implementing secure integrations with third-party systems and external vendor APIs.
