Summary
Builds and owns Cursor's billing infrastructure: usage metering, subscriptions, entitlements, payments, and customer ledgers. Day to day involves end-to-end billing changes, Stripe integration (invoices, webhooks, usage records), billing APIs and internal tools, plus observability and reconciliation for correctness.
You will build billing systems across usage metering, subscriptions, entitlements, payments, ledgers, APIs, and internal tools. You will integrate with Stripe, improve observability and reconciliation, and support new pricing models while protecting billing correctness.
Responsibilities
- Implement end-to-end usage and billing system changes
- Evolve the customer ledger system
- Integrate subscriptions, usage records, invoices, and webhooks with Stripe
- Build billing APIs and internal tooling
- Improve billing pipeline observability
- Partner on new pricing model launches
- Own usage limits, payments, grants, promotions, ledger systems, and billing insights
Requirements
- Experience shipping usage-based billing systems
- Knowledge of metering architecture, idempotency, and exactly-once semantics
- Experience integrating with Stripe
- Experience building or maintaining financial ledgers
- Ability to ship features end-to-end across infrastructure and UI
