Software Engineer
Our client is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help build and scale the core systems behind their product. The successful candidate will own services end to end, design, build, ship, operate and work directly with product on what gets built next.
What the role involves:
Designing, building, and operating backend services in Java/Kotlin
Owning services end to end: architecture, deployment, monitoring, and on-call
Designing APIs and data models other teams depend on
Partnering with product managers to shape technical solutions
Mentoring engineers and contributing to system design reviews
What we're looking for: 5+ years backend experience, strong in Java and/or Kotlin Background at a product company, having owned services full lifecycle (not just feature delivery) Solid distributed systems experience: APIs, Kafka (or similar), SQL/NoSQL Comfort with cloud infra (AWS/GCP/Azure) and Docker/Kubernetes Strong system design instincts and great cross-team communication
