Summary
Chronos Process Integration, a Malaysian technology provider building software for the energy, utilities, manufacturing, logistics, and finance sectors, is hiring a Software Engineer in Puchong to design, build, test, deploy, and document business-critical web applications using VB.NET/C#, ASP.NET, and SQL databases.
Salary: RM 4,500 – RM 6,750 per month

What You'll Be Doing
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications based on business requirements.
Collaborate with the Technical Manager to estimate project timelines and deliverables.
Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications and systems.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following industry best practices.
Perform unit testing, defect tracking, and quality assurance activities.
Deploy applications and contribute to continuous improvement based on user feedback.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, system designs, and development specifications.
Ensure compliance with development standards, project requirements, and best practices.
Provide application support, troubleshoot production issues, and assist with deployments when required.
What We're Looking For
Minimum 3 years of software development experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
Strong analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering quality solutions.
Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently.
Good communication skills in English.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
Passion for software development and continuous learning.
Comfortable using modern tools and technologies, including AI-assisted development tools, to improve productivity, software quality, and learning, whilst maintaining strong independent analytical, coding, and problem-solving capabilities.
Technical Skills Required
VB.NET or C#
SQL, Database Design, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
Experience with Team Foundation Version Control (TFVC) or other source control systems.
Experience developing and maintaining web applications using ASP.NET, VB.NET, or C#.
Experience with relational databases such as Informix, Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), MySQL, or equivalent.
Bonus Points If You Have
Experience with ASP.NET MVC and jQuery
Cloud application development experience
Desktop application development experience
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, or similar tools
Experience working with enterprise business applications, ERP systems, or mission-critical business software.
