Software Engineer (Contract)
(12 months contract, renewable)
We are looking for a Software Engineer for RSAF to support training data systems and digitalisation initiatives.
The scope would broadly cover:
Enterprise systems integration across training management systems, business applications, analytics platforms, and workflow solutions
Design, development, and maintenance of APIs, middleware services, connectors, and system interoperability mechanisms
Full-stack application development and integration across web applications, backend services, databases, and enterprise platforms
Modernisation of existing applications and migration of legacy systems towards service-oriented and cloud-enabled architectures
Cloud onboarding, deployment, operationalisation, and sustainment of applications within enterprise cloud environments
Design and implementation of authentication, access control, security, and governance requirements
Application sustainment, troubleshooting, performance optimisation, and enhancement of operational systems
Development of technical documentation, architecture artefacts, integration specifications, and implementation guides
Support for onboarding and integration of externally developed products into existing enterprise ecosystems
Collaboration with stakeholders to translate operational requirements into scalable technical solutions
We are looking for candidates with experience in areas such as:
Full-stack development (React, Angular, Vue.js, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript)
Backend development (.NET, Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, Python)
API design and integration (REST, GraphQL, OpenAPI)
Databases and data integration (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
Cloud technologies and DevOps practices
Containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and software engineering best practices
Identity and access management, security implementation, and enterprise integration patterns
The candidate should be comfortable engaging users directly, translating operational requirements into technical solutions, rapidly developing and integrating software systems and supporting the sustainment of deployed applications in operational environments.
