What you’ll do
- Develop and maintain Java-based services and data processing components.
- Build scalable solutions for data ingestion, transformation, and system integration.
- Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
- Support system design, implementation, testing, and production operations.
- Improve the performance, reliability, and maintainability of backend and data services.
- Troubleshoot defects and production issues across application and data layers.
- Contribute to documentation, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
- 4+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong Java development skills.
- Experience working with data-oriented systems, ETL processes, or backend data services.
- Understanding of APIs, databases, and distributed application design.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in collaborative Agile teams.
- Ability to ramp into existing systems and contribute quickly.
- Strong delivery focus across application and data engineering work.
- Comfortable working in cross-functional engineering environments.
- Experience with Spark, Kafka, or large-scale data platform tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD, and data pipeline operations.
- Experience supporting high-volume enterprise systems.
- Awareness or knowledge of IT security best practices as defined by ISO / SOC or similar.
