Summary

Foundation engineer on the mobile platform team at a Series B EdTech company, owning shared Flutter app infrastructure, the design system, state management, performance, and CI/CD/release tooling, while also building agentic AI infrastructure (MCP servers, background agent platform) that multiplies the productivity of 25+ engineers shipping to millions of students.

About the Role

This is a foundation engineering role on the mobile platform team at a Series B EdTech company, where your work sits beneath everything product engineers build and ships to millions of students worldwide. You will own core infrastructure across a Flutter mobile app, agentic and AI tooling, and developer experience, multiplying the output of 25+ engineers every day.

What You'll Do

  • Own shared components, the design system, state management, performance, and tooling within the Flutter mobile app.

  • Build and maintain agentic and AI infrastructure, including custom MCP servers, a background agent platform, and evaluation and feedback loops.

  • Integrate agentic coding tooling into day-to-day engineering workflows across the team.

  • Improve developer experience through CI/CD pipelines, release tooling, and faster feedback loops between writing code and seeing it live.

  • Ship user-facing product features alongside platform and infrastructure work.

  • Keep the existing foundation reliable so a growing team of engineers can build on it with confidence.

What We're Looking For

  • 2 to 4 years of production experience building mobile apps with Flutter and Dart, or equivalent web application experience.

  • Daily, fluent use of agentic coding tools (such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar), with a genuine point of view on where they excel and where they fall short.

  • An eye for design: you notice inconsistent spacing, animations that feel slightly off, and components that are close but not quite right.

  • Strong academic background in Computer Science or a related field from a well-regarded university.

  • Clear written and spoken communication in English, and a genuine drive to improve systems that slow other people down, even when the work is not directly visible.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: 80,000 to 110,000 EUR annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Location
