Designs, develops, tests, and deploys scalable software at Frencken in Changi North, Singapore — debugging defects, doing code reviews, and maintaining technical documentation while supporting releases. Requires Python or C#, SDLC knowledge, databases/APIs/version control, and hands-on AI tooling like Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude.
We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions that support business objectives and deliver a reliable user experience. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who writes clean, maintainable code, collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, and contributes to the continuous improvement of software systems, tools, and engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software applications and system features. Translate business and user requirements into technical specifications and practical software solutions. Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code following agreed coding standards. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve quality and maintainability. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects across development, testing, and production environments. Collaborate with cross functional teams, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions. Improve application performance, reliability, security, and scalability through regular analysis and optimization. Support software releases, deployment activities, and post-release monitoring. Maintain technical documentation for systems, APIs, processes, and operational procedures. Stay current with relevant technologies, tools, frameworks, and software engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience in software development, application engineering, or a similar technical role. Strong programming capability in one or more languages such as Python, C#, or similar. Understanding of software development life cycle practices, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Experience with databases, APIs, version control systems, and modern development tools. Ability to analyse technical problems, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions. Hands-on experience applying AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar platforms to accelerate software development, generate technical documentation, support code reviews, or improve productivity. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is added advantage
Other information Working Hours : 8.15am to 5.30pm (Mon-Fri) Location : Changi North Company Bus : Pick up at Ang Mo Kio, Yishun, Hougang, Punggol, Pasir Ris, Bedok, Tampines MRT/Interchanges
