Summary

Backend software engineer on a small, highly technical team in Prague that builds and operates large-scale production services (~300k req/s) in Rust and Python, deployed on Kubernetes in GCP. The role includes designing services, troubleshooting incidents, performance tuning, and 24/7 on-call, with adoption of AI tooling.

We are a small, highly technical team responsible for developing, operating, and maintaining critical production backend services—our largest services handle nearly 300,000 requests per second. We use Rust and Python, deploying to Kubernetes clusters in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
What you’ll do:

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust backend services in Rust and Python

  • Operate and monitor production systems at large scale

  • Troubleshoot incidents, optimize performance, and ensure high availability

  • Participate in on-call rotation to keep our services reliable 24/7

  • Use state-of-the-art AI tools to enhance development, monitoring, and operational efficiency

  • Collaborate with other engineers to continuously improve code, infrastructure, and processes

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong experience in backend development (Rust and/or Python preferred)

  • Experience running and maintaining production systems

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud environments (ideally GCP)

  • Willingness to participate in on-call duties

  • Interest in adopting and experimenting with the latest AI tooling

  • Attention to reliability, scalability, and operational excellence

Join us if you want to work on challenging, high-scale production systems, use the latest AI technologies, and be part of a close-knit, supportive engineering team.
