Software Engineer I

Responsibilities
- Write high‑quality code.
- Design systems that delight customers.
- Architect systems with stringent SLAs such as 99%ile API latencies < 50ms and 4‑9’s availability.
- Design, test, evaluate, build and improve new features for the app/backend.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience using Java or Golang.
- Strong analytical skills and aptitude.
- Understanding of data architecture, software design and best‑practice coding.
- Prefer horizontal scaling mindset over vertical scaling.
- Basic knowledge of RDBMS or NoSQL; comfortable writing queries and understanding schemas.
- Willingness to learn log analysis and debugging techniques.
- Collaborative mindset – receptive to feedback, comfortable working closely with senior engineers and cross‑functional teams (Product, QA).
- Strong sense of ownership – takes responsibility for end‑to‑end delivery, ensuring quality and timely completion of tasks.
- Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT) to support coding and learning.
