The Software Engineer II (Mobile) is a critical role responsible for building and shipping the features that power GetGo's iOS and Android apps — writing clean, reliable mobile code in Swift and Kotlin, collaborating closely with your team, and growing into a confident, independent mobile engineer.
What Makes You A Great Fit
- Technical Foundation: 2+ years of experience in mobile software development with proficiency in Swift (iOS) and/or Kotlin (Android), and familiarity with their respective platform conventions and UI frameworks.
- Clean Code Advocate: Strong understanding of software design patterns and a commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Modern Stack Familiarity: Hands-on experience with version control (Git), and familiarity with mobile CI/CD tooling (e.g., Fastlane, Bitrise) and the App Store / Play Store submission process.
- Agile Contributor: Comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment, managing tasks effectively via JIRA.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Implement new features and enhancements across our mobility platforms in accordance with the technical specifications and architectural guidelines provided by Technical Leads.
- Deliver high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented mobile code in Swift (iOS) and/or Kotlin (Android), ensuring seamless integration with backend APIs and platform conventions.
- Develop comprehensive unit tests for every feature to ensure high code coverage and maintain the long-term reliability of our production systems.
- Identify areas for improvement within your immediate codebase and propose practical solutions during code reviews to raise overall technical standards.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product and QA, to ensure tasks are delivered on time and aligned with sprint goals.
- Participate actively in sprint planning and daily stand-ups, providing clear progress updates and surfacing technical blockers early.
