Software Engineer III, Full Stack, Chrome Web Store
In this role, you will be involved in the design and development of critical infrastructure and features, helping to ensure the Chrome Web Store is reliable, compliant, and provides a seamless experience for users and developers. Your work will directly support the safety, stability, and future evolution of a key part of the Chrome ecosystem, addressing issues in areas like global compliance, enterprise features, and core storefront functionality. You will contribute to the development and implementation of key systems and features, from core user-facing elements to backend infrastructure supporting enterprise needs and global regulations. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of your development tasks, collaborate closely with executive engineers, and help enhance the resilience and quality of the platform that underpins the Chrome extension ecosystem.
The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.Poland: zł280000 - zł287000 (PLN) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

- Write product or system development code.
- Lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to select among available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience with full-stack development, across the back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with developing accessible technologies.
- Experience with Kotlin, Java, TypeScript or JavaScript.
