Software Engineer - Intern

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Explore and learn new technologies or features based on project requirements.
• Quickly understand and analyze assigned tasks and effectively support the existing team.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Participate in application development, testing, and debugging activities.
• Contribute to both enhancement of existing applications and adoption of new technologies.

Education & Experience

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Skills

• Basic knowledge or interest in technologies such as ASP.NET Web Forms (C#), JavaScript, XML, HTML, and CSS.
• Understanding of SQL is an added advantage.
• Enthusiasm for learning and working with modern open-source tools, frameworks, and development methodologies.
• Willingness to explore and adopt new technologies to improve development processes and user experience.
• Interest in contributing to scalable, enterprise-level platforms used globally.
• Prior internship or academic project experience in application development is a plus.

Working Conditions

• The work mode of Finisar India is Hybrid i.e. 3 days at office.
