Summary
An L2/L3 application support engineer who troubleshoots and diagnoses issues on Java-based service applications: log analysis, testing and error reproduction, applying fixes or data patches, monitoring performance, and owning incident tickets through to resolution within SLA. Core stack is Java, SQL and Microsoft tooling, with AWS, Linux and Jira as preferred knowledge.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshoot, logs analysis, and perform diagnosis on the Issues/Problems/Defects escalated to the team.
- Participate in testing and error reproduction.
- Prepare solution and technical documents.
- Monitoring of performance, response time and utilization of service application and its components.
- Provide workaround, corrective fixes or data patches for Incidents/Problems.
- Assist with data extraction requests.
- Take ownership of the Incidents/Problems tickets until resolved, and follow-up to ensure it is resolved within the SLA.
- Provide support during deployment activities.
- Able to work and collaborate with all relevant parties, IT teams and users.
- Able to identify improvements, come up with creative and effective solutions to identified system gaps.
- Ability and willingness to work within tightly controlled policies and procedures.
2 to 3 years experience working in IT industry and relevant experience in L2 and L3 Support (Java programming.
Proven experience in performing system and data recovery
Work with SQL queries and scripting.
Familiar with Microsoft applications.
Knowledge on the following is preferred:
- Jira
- Understanding of AWS Amazon Web Services
- Linux
