Software Engineer (Lead)

JOB SUMMARY

Lead and oversee a portfolio of strategic projects, ensuring they align with the company's strategic goals and vision. The candidate is responsible for developing sustainable and well-defined components that can enhance or introduce new innovative features to existing solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To work with stakeholders to understand the requirements and transform the requirements into automated system or web application.
• To design, develop, maintain and support web application development projects with a wide exposure to various technologies and platforms.
• To work closely with the project team in the areas of design, requirements, specifications, implementation, coding and testing.
• To ensure timely project delivery by meeting the project objective and expectation.
• Fix bugs during deployment period and improve user experience

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a software-related discipline, from an accredited college or university
• Experience in software development toolsets (IDE, graphical and numerical libraries, performance, and memory usage profilers etc.).
• Experience in ReactJs and angular.
• Knowledge of Angular, Redux/NgRx, HTML, CSS, SCSS, Node.js, GIT, and NPM.
• Experience supporting multiple platforms such as iOS, Android, Mac, Windows and Windows Phone is an added plus.
• Experience in Spark development, Sqoop, Flume, Kafka and NIFI.
• Experience in relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience in built tool like Maven or SBT.
• Experience in version control tools like Gitlab or bit-bucket.
• Experience in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and JIRA.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in full-stack development.
• Passionate about intuitive use model and working knowledge of GUI development.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies and Test-Driven Design
• Experience in these technologies and frameworks: Angular, Python, Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Scala, Postgres, Docker, Kubernetes, Hadoop, HBase, Hive, Spark, Kafka, NiFi
• Demonstrated understanding of object/component-oriented design techniques.
• Experience in design, implementation, and deployment of high volume, highly available, cloud-based systems would be a plus.
• Experience with real-time analytics will be an add-on.
• Experience with container platforms like OpenShift, Kubernetes or docker would be an add-on.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef or Puppet would be an add-on.
• Experience on KX and KDB would be an add-on.
• Experience in bringing up Hadoop clusters and installing various packages would be an add-on.
