Software engineer

About the team:

Our team’s chief mandate is to provide technical solutions for the various operations teams at Ninety One. Each member of our team is involved in consulting with stakeholders and other teams, designing, implementing, and supporting these solutions.

In this role you will: Design, build, and maintain integrations and extensions around the Charles River platform (CRIMS), including APIs, data feeds, and workflow automation Support Databricks/Azure-based data pipeline work Partner with the CRIMS technology team to translate requirements into technical solutions Develop and support systems using C#. NET and MS SQL Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements Support and enhance Azure-hosted services (e.g. Function Apps, App Services) Review code via Pull Requests Participate in agile ceremonies and technical planning Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, including data quality defects and integration failures You should consider applying if you have: 5+ years of professional software development experience Strong proficiency in C#. NET and object-oriented design principles Production experience with RDBMS e.g. SQL Server, Oracle etc Understanding of API-based integration patterns (REST, Graph QL, or similar) Experience working in the Finance Industry Experience with Charles River IMS (CRIMS) or other order management systems (Aladdin, think Folio etc) advantageous Experience with Agentic Engineering processes Some of the attributes we look for in a person are: Strong written and verbal communication - able to explain technical detail to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders The ability to ‘approach and own’ and continuously look for opportunities to develop A strong belief in doing the right thing A client focused and collaborative approach
