Software Engineer – Python / C# .NET Up to 150,000 Super Brisbane Hybrid
Pearson Carter is working with a growing Australian technology provider looking to expand its software engineering team in Brisbane. This is an opportunity to build and improve business-critical applications, develop backend integrations and deliver automation solutions within a collaborative engineering environment.
With opportunities available at both Mid-Level and Senior levels, you'll work on meaningful projects with genuine ownership and the ability to influence technical decisions.
Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain backend applications using Python and/or C#/.NET.
Build and integrate REST APIs connecting internal platforms, customer systems and third-party services.
Develop automation solutions to streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency.
Maintain and enhance existing applications while contributing to new features and system improvements.
Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable and maintainable software.
Experience
Essential:
Commercial software development experience using Python and/or C#/.NET.
Strong backend development experience, including REST APIs and third-party integrations.
Experience working with SQL databases and maintaining production applications.
Understanding of software development best practices, testing and version control.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team.
Desirable:
Experience with Django, FastAPI or ASP.NET.
Knowledge of Linux, Docker, CI/CD pipelines or cloud technologies.
Frontend experience with JavaScript, TypeScript or Vue.js.
Exposure to automation, AI-assisted development tools or AI/LLM agents.
Telecommunications, networking or ISP industry experience.
Salary
Competitive salary packages depending on experience:
Mid-Level Software Engineer: 120,000–125,000 Super
Senior Software Engineer: Up to 150,000 Super

Location
Brisbane, Queensland – Hybrid
3 days per week in the office and 2 days working from home.
